Skill Enhancement...
is a four week full time program that helps participants determine their strengths and develop employability skills. Program includes:

1. Workshops on topics such as: Communications, Goal setting, Healthy Lifestyles and Money Management.

2. Community participation with a one week off site experience.
3. The creation of a portfolio that highlights participant strengths and can be used as a resource for future training and employment opportunities.
WorkSMART (Skills Management and Readiness Training)...
The Next Generations...

Radius WorkSMART The Next Generations offers services for participants who are wanting to enhance their job opportunities through further training.

Participants can include: Unemployed / under-employed adults, older workers, youth, new Canadians, aboriginal people and women.

Radius WorkSMART offers:

1. Career Assesments and Career Action Planning

2. Readiness Training - Employability workshops such as Communications,Decision Making, Problem Solving, Time Management and Portfolio Development

3. Specific Certificate
Training
based on career plan - can include First Aid/CPR,Food Safe, WHMIS, GED 12 Preparation, SaskBest Customer Service

4. Skills Management -
learning on the worksite

5. Development of Job
Search Tools -
resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills

Radius Life Lessons
Radius Life Lessons is a full time program aimed at helping adults with their literacy skills. The
course is 21 weeks and begins on Oct. 1, 2007 – Feb. 22, 2008 and includes “real life”
activities with community, work and family. Participants will create a portfolio to enhance
their lifelong learning and career plan. Participants are eligible for the Provincial Training
Allowance (PTA).

Life Lessons funded by:

Human Resources and Social Development Canada

Resources humaines et
Développement social Canada.

Life Lessons Final Evaluation

 

Radius can provide participants with bus tickets on a temporary basis.
Information sessions for all programs are held weekly.
Start dates are continuous (every 2 weeks).
